how about this . . .

Porter has started trying to negotiate with me about everything. Everytime I tell him to do something (like brush his teeth), he says, "Mom, how about this . . ." and then offers another suggestion (like brushing his teeth after he gets two more cookies). Tonight, he and were having another conversation where he kept trying his "how about this" line. When he was unhappy with my counteroffer, he said, "I don't like the way you think. I like the way I think." I'm sure he does.
