Dad-Faces

Porter and Dallin went to the children's museum with their friends Vanessa and Chase on Tuesday. We like to take the little classes there for their age group. (The class is just a story and a project). Because it is June, we read a book about dads and then the project was to make a face that looked like their dad's. These are the heads that Porter and Dallin made (if you are wondering why Porter's face is odd, it is because he thought he was supposed to draw his Dad's whole body on that head-shaped cutout). Both boys put a lot of effort into theirs. Porter cut out each piece of the hair. Porter was worried that Joe would say it was silly, but when presented with the heads, Joe was appropriately impressed.

On another note, Porter had his first "play-date" where I dropped him off at someone's house. Because of my work schedule, etc. he has never done that before and was a little nervous. In the car, I told him that he would have to listen the little boy's mom while he was there. Porter said, "but what will she say? Will Gavin have to listen too?" It ended up working out all right though. Porter had a very good time and talked all night about the toys Gavin had and the things they had done. Porter asked if he could sleep at Gavin's house from now on because Gavin has a bunkbed and then I could just pick him up in the mornings.
